Not My Life

‘Every 8 Minutes’ has been inspired by the acclaimed documentary film ‘Not My Life’, the first film to depict the harsh realities of human trafficking on a global scale.

Filmed on five continents, in a dozen countries, over a period of more than four years, Not My Life has been specially edited for broadcast and distribution in India. This special version of Not My Life, directed by Oscar nominee Robert Bilheimer, is a co-production of Worldwide Documentaries and Riverbank Studios in New Delhi, and will be available for general distribution in the fall.

Acclaimed by critics as a “masterpiece” and a “beautifully told story of deep human suffering“, the 56-minute documentary puts a sharp lens on the multiple forms of child exploitation and human trafficking that exist in almost every country in the world today.

Mike Pandey, India’s prominent documentary filmmaker, and CEO of Riverbank Studios says:

“India, sadly, is one the epicenters of child exploitation and human trafficking in the world today. We have many forms of this injustice, and millions of people suffer from it. My colleagues and I here at Riverbank are grateful for this opportunity to be working with Bob Bilheimer, his team at Worldwide, and Not My Life. We are filled with a great sense of purpose and hope, because we really can no longer tolerate what is happening. We must make people more aware of what we are doing to our children.”
