Brothels are highly profitable businesses where young women and children are sold as commodities by pimps. The tourist destination of Goa attracts amongst others paedophiles and sex tourists and makes brothels a thriving business. ARZ, started by a group of passionate social workers, zealously combats this ‘business’ of commercial sexual exploitation. Since 1991, putting themselves constantly in the line of fire, they have rescued hundreds of children and women. They also work toward rehabilitation, education and providing livelihood alternatives to the victims. To date, their constant battle has helped survivors reunite with their family in various states in India as well as in countries like Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Russia.
Victims of commercial sexual exploitation are the most abused and exploited group of people. Being a victim of sexual exploitation, they are stigmatized and fail to receive the attention and the support of the society, law makers and the implementers of the law. A large number of the victims, mostly children, continue in the situation of exploitation due to lack of intervention and support.

In order to protect this marginalised group of victims, it is essential to ensure the each child survivor receives the utmost care and protection. ARZ will reunite as many rescued children as possible with their families. Children, for whom going back home is not the safest choice, will receive education, health, healing, rehabilitation, legal aid & justice and a safe and protected environment to live in.
We need your support to run vigilant groups across Goa, conduct raids, rescue minor children, and provide emergency victim support. It will ensure that all rescued children are heard by the state and taken under appropriate care and protection.
